The Washington NASA Space Grant Consortium offers scholarships for students in science, engineering, or math at Washington State University. These competitive scholarships are based on academic achievement, a personal essay, a recommendation from a faculty mentor, and future academic promise. At WSU we are directing these funds to undergraduates who wish or choose to carry out undergraduate research projects in a field broadly related to activities supported by NASA. Many students are interested in carrying out research at the undergraduate level, and through this program the Colleges of Science and Engineering and Architecture hope to enable students to begin participating in supervised engineering research at an early stage in their academic careers.
